In 1985, when I was filling in as a film extra, I worked with David Bowie on the classic set piece That’s Motivation on Julien Temple’s musical film Absolute Beginners.
I got a photo with Bowie, his autograph, and also went to the wrap party and the London premiere.
When David Bowie died from cancer in January 2016, it hit me hard, along with millions of other fans worldwide.
This is a tribute to the man who shaped and inspired me, and how I very briefly got to work with him.
